I actually don’t want to get up. I should, I have come away for the weekend to a new place that I’d like to explore, but I am sooooooo comfortable.
But the lure of the croissants downstairs is too much and I drag myself reluctantly out of bed to put the oven on. Today, I am pretty much doing nothing. The kids were engrossed in a table football game last night which will continue today and we are supposed to be heading out to explore the Meon Valley Trail this afternoon. Lunch will be thanks to the village shop produce and we’ve booked ourselves in to the Thomas Lord pub for an early supper. Next episode from the box set later. Maybe. No cooking, no washing up - marvellous.
I think I’ll light the fire so it’s ready for when everyone else gets up. My book is still on the coffee table and there is no sign of movement from upstairs so I might get a few minutes with my coffee and a book.
I have turned off my email alerts, my feet are up, let the day unfold.
